Overview

An Aputure Light Dome II is a bowens mount softbox equipped with a honeycomb grid to control light spill. The directional light makes the light dome II suitable for head shots, portraits, interview and fashion photography. The softbox diameter size is 90 cm with 16 steel rods holding the fabric and a silver interior for reflecting light. It is meant for use with Aputure lights as well as a wide range of other lights that are compatible with a bowens mount.

The light dome is 60 cm deep, hence producing focused and directional light that can be narrowed further for selective lighting with the included 40° foldable grid. Aputure provides a removable inner diffuser and both 1.5-stop and 2.5-stop front diffusers that you can use individually or all at once for softness and contrast options. With an included gel filter, this softbox offers creative color options while rendering soft light that is round with natural-looking catchlights in the eyes of your subject.
