Overview

Among the impressive and fascinating smartphone gimbals from DJI is the OM 4 SE that adds on what its predecessor, the OSMO Mobile 3, offers. OM 4 SE features stronger motors and more torque and introduces the use of a magnetic smartphone mount for easy attachment of your phone onto the gimbal. It's frame is also easier to assemble, fold down as well as balance.

You can control this gimbal using the DJI Mimo app (available for both Android and iOS smartphones). The app provides one with several different modes such as Sport and Inception modes and it supports Bluetooth 5.0. Other advanced features that are supported include hand gesture control and body shape recognition.

The redesigned handle is more comfortable to grip at a 15° angle and gives you a number of other improvements, such as accessibility to all ports while charging and the ability to mount more accessories to the gimbal. The cellphone holder can take smartphones of up to 8.3 cm (3.3") in wideness. Further, it has an integrated intelligent sensor that notifies you when your smartphone is mounted.

Multiple shooting modes and functions are available using the DJI Mimo app and they include Underslung, Portrait, Landscape, Time-Lapse, DynamicZoom (Dolly Zoom), Hyperlapse, enhanced Panorama, Slow-Motion, Inception-style spin, and Sport. Using ActiveTrack 3.0 this gimbal is able to automatically track body shapes and identify humans without needing you to do a manual selection. For selfies or to start and stop your cellphone's camera, you can use hand gestures to control your operations.

It is fitted with a built-in battery that functions for approximately 15 hours and charges for 2.5 hours using the Type-C USB cable provided in the package. There is a USB Type-A power output on the back of the handle to charge your phone or other accessories while operating the gimbal. At the bottom of this gimbal, there is a  1/4"-20 mounting thread incase you want to use tripods apart from its included grip tripod or other accessories to mount onto your gimbal.
